My company must’ve spent a mint on what was a really fun day out. We had our annual company picnic at Black Bear Day Camp which was an amazing place. We were set up in a tent with casino games, a DJ, beer/hard lemonades/soft drinks, and typical basic BBQ foods (hotdogs/hamburgers/salads). They had games for the kids set up and the adults competed with each other in canoeing, tug of war, and a couple of minute to win it challenges. There’s a “lake” which was really a big pond that had 2 water trampolines, an array of canoes/kayaks, and peddle boats all on a sand beach. They also had 3 swimming pools with water slides, a dinosaur theme bouncy house, some blow up sports thing that had basketball, football, soccer, darts, and baseball stations around it. And the food…it was everywhere, besides what was in our tented area, they had slushies/snowcones, funnel cakes, cotton candy, popcorn, french fries, chicken nuggets, and assorted ice cream pops. There was also outdoor laser tag, although in the heat, I doubt anyone tried it. I attempted to boat, on my own, in a tiny kayak and got about 10 feet from the shore when I tipped it, getting soaked to my waist and gave up on that idea. BUT, I did actually “go boating” so I’m calling…

They also had a tiny section set up for Segway rides (really really tiny). This is something I have always wanted to try and I don’t know if it’s just that this machine was mad old, or if I need to work on my balance and need more practice driving it but it was a little scary at 3 miles per hour (or whatever speed it went..haha). I felt like I was nearly going to fall off at times but it was fun so…
